I manage a Bridal store in Southern California and this weirdo has called us three times over the past nine months (today being the most recent). I was not in the store on the two other days calls have come through, but today I was lucky enough to answer ‘Kimberly Walker’s’ call. Didn’t let him get too far in the conversation though, as soon as he said ‘I am blind and disabled’ I interrupted him and said, ‘Oh yeah! You’ve called here before!’ He immediately hung up. This person surely cannot be looking to sue for discrimanation as their story would never hold up in court (i.e. every post on this site). I think this is a very sick person getting off on making people feel uncomfortable by making vaguely sexual/outrageous comments and seeing what the reaction will be. Very strange.
We got a call from "Jane" twice this week and once earlier this year. When "she" called on Tuesday, I was on the phone for over 20 minutes (taking me away from actual customers).I was given instructions to take notes. I knew in my gut this was fishy but played along as to not discriminate anyone who might actually be in this situation or get sued for discrimination. Was told to read back the notes as they inserted creepy comments. Today when they called and started to give me the same story, I said "I actually believe I spoke with you Tuesday and we made you an appointment", they immediately hung up! We now have the number listed by our phone and wont be answering "her" calls.
This person called...again...said the same crap as last week. Disabled, needs two assistance, blah blah blah. Tried to call him back since he loves to hang up but of course didn't answer.
We received this call twice this year and its super upsetting and creepy. The man/woman who called gave us the same exact story both times, first in June and the other just now in October. I didnt see this site until today! They asked for 2 consultants and they want help into the corset top and slip. They said they needed the two consultants to put our knees on their back to straight them up and then they wanted to be twirled around. They wanted us to describe the gown in as many details as possible too. What made it worst is that after the 10 minute call they made the consultant who answered the phone repeat back all the notes and then they made more notes. They also wanted the two consultants who are expected to help them on the day to call them back so they can go over the notes .
Received multiple calls from "Jane" and am aware via bridal boutique facebook groups that this person continues to call and ask the same thing to all salons. Actually answered this phone call today, and let them speak. Then I asked if this was Jane. As soon as I did....ironically they hung up! Need to get this number blocked.
Work at a Bridal Boutique in Huntington Beach, This man has contacted us several times i want to say about 5 times i the past 7 months. Super frustrating, so happy to found you all say the same thing. Asking for the same things, blind, needs two different consultants, asked who would be with him, and goes from there always hangs up after. So ridiculous. Beware of a Kim Walker/Jane
Received a call from Jane Winters yesterday 8/27/17 had my employee on the phone for 30 mins. Same situation wanted to find 2 dresses and needed to be assisted by 2 consultants very descriptive about the assistance that is needed. Very odd and also called the next day to make sure the appointment was set up. There is something that needs to be done about this person. It's really ridiculous.
8/24/17 - Received a voicemail from Jane Winters saying she was handicap and blind and would need at least five employees to help in and out of dresses. Also wanted long and short. Called back after reading all of these comments. Surprisingly didn't stay on the phone for long, but when asked for credit card info (since we require to confirm an appointment) she said she didn't have one. Told her it was our policy then she hung up on me.
Received this call just yesterday, 7/29/17 saying they were handicapped and needed special assistance and wanted to know if they could make an appointment for a bridal and prom selection. He/She made an appointment but I'm sure it's all a hoax but how can we stop this person from doing this, since it's all over the USA that he/she is doing it and taking up employees time and dressing room reservations for paying customers??
Well I feel like I'm in the Kim Walker Club now. Just got the call and "she" asked for all the things above in other post. Isn't there anything we can do?
This person just called and sounded very strange telling me that he had an appt next week but couldn't tell me what day. He ended up hanging up just after he asked me if my name is Jennifer, which I stupidly confirmed. He's a weirdo. I didn't answer when he called back a few minutes later.
I got THE phone call today. I was on the phone for 45 minutes trying to figure out if it was a prank call. We don't discriminate at our shop, so I was trying to listen and take notes as instructed but the whole thing was way out in left field. I was asked to do all of the things that the other shops were asked to do. As soon as I got off the phone I ran his number in a search. It sounds like he has been doing this for a long time.
Prank calls about being bound due to medical issues for a massage. We are in Charleston, S.C.
I also received a call from Jane Waters stating the same thing about being handicap and blind, needing several to help him into the dresses, wanting two dresses, one long and one short and "flirty", and need to "bend him over" then "push him back up". I feel sure he has called my shop on two other occasions asking for an appointment and never showing up.
yes " Kimberly Walker" or Jane has called us maybe 10 times in the last year or two. is disabled and needs all 'management" there + multiple people to help " her" in and out of dresses. Speaks in whisper, male voice, Said he'd call back for an appt. Has upset my employees.
Has called our Bridal Shop asking for accommodations because he's blind, and disabled and needs the help of several consultants to try on dresses. Name on caller I'd is Kimberly Walker. Reverse phone number lookup says it's a Joseph James Walker in Arvada, Co.

Just received a call from Jane Winter asking for an appointment. Needed a long wedding gown and a short gown. Needed 3-4 people to help try on and walk. Asked for phone number to call back when I could set up a time. I immediately searched the number n found this site. I am now going to contact the attorney general!s office.
Same situation as previous bridal stores have mentioned with wanting 2-3 people to help and looking for 2 dresses. This person gave the name "Jane" and even mentioned they may be in our system because they've made an appointment before. I do remember this person calling 2 years ago and stating they are a man who wanted to try on women's dresses and if we would be ok with that. Wanted me to go into detail about undergarments - I did not. Having previously worked in offices that receive these types of calls, I played along and was very kind and understanding to their "needs" In my mind, I knew I would hang up as soon as anything got sexual, but he didn't go there. Informed other people in this store to ignore this person if they call again. I wish I had as much time as this person to waste!!
Beware! "Jane Winters" called today to schedule an appointment. As others store said, he made strange requests for assistance in trying on dresses. He kept me on the phone for several minutes, continually pushing me with additional requests or demands for his appointment. This is a mentally ill individual. He is either trying to find reasons to sue a business for discrimination, etc. or seeking attention.
Both of our stores have received calls from this person, both under different names. Ann Myers for one & Jan something for the other. She called again today at 3AM as Jane. She was looking for two wedding gowns, a formal one and a short one for reception. She needed all managers and other employeeS to help her. "Ann" said that she was "blind,had a balance disorder,and loose limbs." She also said she would need a corset, a knee on her back, and someone to walk her in circles and to help her twirl in the dresses. For the short dress, she wanted a "booty shaking" dress that shows lots of leg. She wanted us to bend her over at the waist in this dress as well. She requested we block out two hours for her. Of course, she never showed up and the number she gave (865-842-1139) wasn't in service.
I just got this call. I got creeped out when he asked me to repeat back to him his requests. Just not going to answer the phone with this number! Bizarre!
This person called at 4:30AM Eastern time, and left a message requesting an appointment. Said the woman needed 3 employees to help her with her appointment, that she was blind and also had scoliosis. Wanted to try on bridal gowns. Caller ID says Kimberly Walker.
Same call here. Said they wanted to purchase two gowns for the next year and wanted to try them on gown. Couldn't hear from the noise. Put them on hold to make an appt and they hung up.
We got a call from "Jane" today to our bridal store. The caller I.D. says "Kimberly Walker" but after doing some research it looks like the actual person calling is Joseph James Walker(number connected to voter registration site found online) in Arvada, Colorado. It's the same scenario saying "I'm handicap and blind and I need a manager and owner along with several employees to help me in and out of dresses. Our store is very accomodating and are happy to help in any way we can but the request kept getting more bizarre A.K.A "someone will have to put a knee to my back to get the dress on". He's either calling for kicks or is scheming for a lawsuit.
Had a strange caller by the name of "Jane Winters" calling to schedule an appointment to find 2 dresses. Claims "she" is blind has special needs and needs 2 consultants to help
physically dress her and place her legs into the gowns. Stated she was coming alone. Requested to have one of the consultants take special notes about the dresses and how she looked in them. Very deep voice and gave this number: 937-454-2198 this number is disconnected. Very stange.
Yup. Jane Winters called with caller ID "Kimberly Walker" stating that "she" was blind and needed two-three girls in the fitting room helping dress and undress during her entire stay. Voice is deep.. she first asked what kind of dresses we had in store. She talked to management the first time. Then called two hours later and told a sales associate she was shopping for a wedding. Extremely suspicious.
He calls every couple weeks with a more outlandish story each time. Can't decide if he is shopping for a discrimination law suit or if get is a perv just getting off on it. All I know is I would like it to stop. Can't we do something about him?
We had the same phone call today, asking for multiple people to be in the room and asked us what our issues would be and who would be assisting him. We've had similar calls, stating an anniversary party, he's a cross dresser, etc.
Kimberly Walker or "Jane Winters" calls the store making very uncomfortable requests. He claims to be blind, have Downs Syndrome; partially paralyzed; will require 2-3 managers to come into the dressing room to dress him; and have the managers "bend him over, while placing your knee into my back as you lace me into a corset" so that he can "be sure that the 'booty shaking dress' shows enough skin". He gets a kick out of making you uncomfortable. And will continue until you or he has had enough. Report him into the police.
We just had a phone call from this number. We are a bridal shop in Kentucky. They said they were blind and would be needing two wedding dresses and requested that multiple people to be in the dressing room with her. Then when questioned they hung up. So strange!

We received a similar prank call at our Bridal Shop. complete with shakin' the booty nonsense. Our consultant put them on hold, and after a minute they just hung up.
We received a very strange call from this number identified as Kimberly Walker on Caller ID. It was clearly a man and my consultant handled the call very well. Caller was very interested if they would be waited on by the manager and if we carried dresses that he/she would be able to shake her butt in. Bizarre call at best. Made an appointment but was a no-show.
This number has called my bridal store multiple times saying they are "Jane" and are blind and want to try on wedding gowns. She said she needs room to practice shaking her booty in the gowns to make sure they are the correct styles. We booked a 2 hour appointment for her but she never showed.
This person calls our shop all the time (sounds like they are using a voice distorter) and asks bizarre questions and then hangs up. It is very disturbing and we are going to call the police the next time it happens.
This person has called our bridal store twice in the last 6 weeks. A 90 minute appointment for Jane was made. No one showed (We feel this is a form of theft when knowingly won't show for an appointment, as it takes away from other potential buyers). It is also sexual harassment to give such details about being blind and wanting several people dressing and undressing you, then talk about how you want to bend over and shake your booty for others to see. This was a phone conversation that was quite disturbing. We don't discriminate, but we don't appreciate crudeness or taking time from innocent and hard working staff or clients. 1/17/17 We have called the police with the crudeness of the first call and now in finding this site, we will report this call.
I own a bridal store and we got this number showing up on caller ID as Kimberly Walker. It was a strange voice. She said she is blind and needs someone to help her try on wedding gowns in the fitting room and describe them to her. Said her name was Jane Anderson. Asked a lot of bizarre questions, she hung up abruptly so it seemed suspicious. 12/5/16
I just had the same phone call today. The name comes up as Kimberly Walker. I also have a bridal store.
oh my gosh, I own a bridal boutique, and just got this call! My employee knew right away what it was. Blind person calling saying they need at least 3 people to help them into their gown. Was a male, saying he was blind
Same as the callers above - Blind person looking for a wedding dress and needs to have multiple people helping. Sounded so fishy and then I found this site with others stating the same.
This man has also called us weekly wanting to book an appointment for a woman that is blind. There is always a different name for the woman. He tells an elaborate story about having to only work with the manager because the woman will be dropped off and not have any help. We always are happy to make the appointment but then no one ever shows up. I have called the number back to try to "confirm" the appointment but no answer. When I have looked up the number is comes back as for someone in Colorado.
This person has called our business as well from this number with the same claims. The caller ID says Kimberly Walker.
This person calls about once a month saying he is transexual or blind and asks to make an appointment. Then keeps our employees on the phone for a long time with outlandish requests. My hunch is that this person is trying to find a business that will discriminate over the phone and sue them.
This person is tying up a crisis line with calls that are sexual in nature. When questioned he hangs up. Unfortunate that he would take time away from a real crisis to make prank phone calls.
